Trust Nolimit City to step up and have a crack at making a slot about the Battle of Little Bighorn. Once again, it's the sort of material a lot of other studios would rather avoid, lest turning it into a quagmire of controversy. Nolimit City has walked a fine line, ensuring Little Bighorn possesses the sort of brass-balled edginess that a significant segment of the gambling market is on board with, without being completely over the top. Some may disagree, and it'll be interesting to see if the subject matter touches any sort of nerve or not. Either way, Little Bighorn is more thought-provoking than a lot of Native American-themed slots end up being. Gaming-wise, Little Bighorn did not, for us at least during testing, come across as one of those Nolimit City monsters, ready and willing to savage, or in this case, scalp the unlucky. The first bonus round triggered in like 16 spins, with either that one or the next one (if memory serves) being upgraded to Spirit Call Freespins. The uphill both-ways battle, which can sometimes commence when taking on a Nolimit City game, was strangely absent. In part, at least. Let's be clear, luck might have swung our way on the day, though, as this is an 'extremely volatile' slot, so don't expect a jaunty old walk through the canyons. One other thing which felt almost munificent was that paying extra for the xBet, not only parked a scatter symbol on the second reel but gets you an expanding full reel wild to boot. Consider games like Remember Gulag or Tombstone RIP, where the xBet, in the studio's words, is described as a 'Sacrifice for a more brutal, but less awarding base game'. Little Bighorn's xBet expanding Totem Scatter feels almost benevolent by comparison, which is not a word which often comes to mind when reviewing a Nolimit City release. Little Bighorn is also a more straightforward game than they can be from Nolimit City, too. Each special symbol has its job, and when they're functioning, it's easy to follow what's going on. There were no spins with knives flying all over the place, shredding stuff up, splitting symbols, tossing in the kitchen sink and awarding something ridiculous before being able to tell what is going on. Not saying Little Bighorn is a simple game or anything like that, but there is little to no need to play mental catch-up for a change. This leads us to potential, which is also a bit more modest than usual, though still sitting pretty at 25,676x the bet. To wrap up, Little Bighorn didn't have the same trailblazing feel to it as others, like, say, Tombstone RIP, San Quentin xWays, or The Border. However, Little Bighorn has a different focus, and for players looking for a somewhat more straightforward version of the Nolimit City experience or a solid Western/Native American slot alternative, Little Bighorn is worth trundling out for a spin or two.

AboutSlots
It is clearly an exciting theme that has been chosen for this slot, where we get to take part in the battle of Little Bighorn. A great battle where the chieftains Sitting Bull, Two Moon and Crazy Horse led their troops to victory against the naive cavalry led by Commander Custer. As in other games from this game provider, there is an extremely high volatility which results in the balance shifting greatly during the course of the game. The action kicks off already within the base game where the scalp wild can scalp the soldiers and then turn them into wilds with multipliers. There are certainly many different variations of wilds that can be enjoyed within this game, where totem wilds can turn into expanding wilds and thus enable big winning combinations. The No Mercy symbol is many times the key to the huge wins, where within the base game it can activate any of the three Chieftain features when it lands. The Scalp Free Spins are entertaining, but you are constantly waiting for the Spirit Call Free Spins to be activated as the Chieftain features are active during all of those spins and thus huge wins can be scooped up. It's an entertaining mix of events and the Chieftain features involving Two Moon, Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull provide great entertainment, where they are randomly selected before each new spin is performed. The game has a good sized RTP, provided the higher on of 96.06% is used, but players should be aware that there are also 2 significantly lower versions that some gaming operators may choose. The game is captivating and many times tilting, with an average of 1 in 1390 spins being required to obtain a win higher than 100X. But just as with this epic battle that unfolded, this game can also be summed up with the phrase "No guts, no glory, no legend, no story". Little Bighorn is a slot that allows us to take part in a high paced gaming adventure that can result in a Firewater Party that pays up to an incredible 25676X the bet.

Nolimit City have created plenty of controversial slots in recent times. The Little Bighorn slot is no different with no American soldiers surviving the ordeal. Apparently, 1 horse, who belonged to Captain Myles Walter Keogh was found alive despite suffering 7 bullet wounds. What is certain is that Nolimit City have put plenty of thought into this release and it shows compared to other Native American themed slots. In terms of the gameplay, the 3 base game features are pretty ordinary. Scalp Wilds landing on reel 3 will see American soldier symbols become wild with subsequent nudges increasing the multiplier by 1 on the new wilds. Totem Scatters transform into expanding wilds. Then you have the Spirit Call Respin feature which transforms symbols into expanding wilds or standard wilds with/without multipliers. The Scalp Free Spins feature gives you free spins with an increasing sticky win multiplier for scalped symbols. The best of the features is the Spirit Call Free Spins feature where the No Mercy Scatter will trigger the 3 variations of the Spirit Call Respin feature. I found the Scalp xBet feature to be lucrative as you get a Totem Scatter appearing on reel 2 which in turn gives you an expanding wild and an increased chance of playing the 2 free spins features. It’s not a cheap option with your bet rising by 50%. A similar feature also appears in the Remember Gulag (Propaganda Bet) and Tombstone RIP (Enhanced Bet) slots. In conclusion, the Little Bighorn slot is simple by Nolimit City standards. This by no means deters from the quality of the gameplay. It’s easier to follow but can still provide huge wins of up to 25,676 x your total bet. Whilst it will take approximately 19 million spins, the max win will be won every 115,000 spins on average from the free spins.
