We know by now that NoLimit is not for people who get easily triggered. Time by time, they find a new way to offend a new group of people, and we’re here for it. Not that we want people to be offended, but it’s fun with a provider stirring the pot and making things interesting. 

Land Of The Free makes fun of the stereotypical American trailer park family. While we don’t want to dig too deep into it and make you think that we agree with what’s being painted, we can confirm that this is how some people look at America, but again, not us. That is something we want to reiterate. 

So a funny theme is established, but how does the gameplay hold up? Well, it’s a pretty neat mechanic with the submersion and how that helps bring the features up. Furthermore, classic NoLimit mechanics like splitting symbols and Wild reels make it feel like a NoLimit not only thematically but also mechanically. But most of all we like that they’re continuing with this new “max win or nothing” feature that was first seen in Nine to Five. In Land Of The Free, it’s not quite max win or nothing, but there are 3 different prizes you can win. On top of that, the feature is way more exciting as the max win is 57000x, instead of 9217x in Nine to Five.

While possessing a level of innovation, there’s something about Devil’s Crossroad that left us wanting more.

A grid like this was first seen in the super bonus of Gluttony. We liked it then, and we like it now. Spinning the base game feels different to pretty much any other slot and is a testament to NoLimit’s strive for groundbreaking, innovative games. Thus, we were quite excited to see what they had cooked up for the bonus game, which turned out to be different from what we expected. 

The Redemption Spins feature is a bit too hold & spin-like for our liking. We said the same when NoLimit released Whacked, and we want to reiterate that we don’t think it’s a bad or boring game by any means. It’s just NoLimit that has created such high expectations by constantly pushing boundaries and giving us new experiences. And of course, it’s not a standard re-spin bonus with collectors and payers, but one with tons of different features and mechanics to boost the values. Furthermore, we would’ve been able to somewhat look past the lack of spark and innovation if it was jam-packed with potential, but with a max win of 13,180x the bet, it’s on the lower end of the NoLimit max win spectrum. 

With all that said, we do think that this is a solid game. It has a nice free spins frequency of 1 in 189 spins, meaning that you’ll see quite a lot of action, albeit the action is slightly toned down.

Roadkill’s arguably more balanced than some of Nolimit City’s heavyweights, but no less amusing for it.

Roadkill is yet another innovative casino slot from Nolimit City, known for making games that stand out from the basic ones. It introduces players to a bizarre world where animals like Papa Bear, Fred the Rabbit, and Deer Joe team up to thwart the menacing rednecks, Hilly and Billy, from running them over on a country road.

The game's quirky theme is supported by a cartoonish design. The slot offers a wide range of features, and it might take a while for the player to understand everything that can happen in this forgotten part of the world.

One cool feature is the Jumping Wild Symbols, each with its own unique abilities. Papa Bear provides multipliers, Fred the Rabbit leaves behind Wild symbols, and Deer Joe splits symbols when blocking cars. The cars also add something extra when they pass by on rows between the spins in the features Call to Arms, Team Assemble Bonus Game, and Junkyard Assault Bonus Game.

Graphically superb, the Roadkill slot is another example from Nolimit City of a unique theme/approach which is sure to excite players. The brilliant soundtrack in the bonus features and the humorous take on the subject matter can be considered controversial yet welcome. Visually, it has similarities to NLC’s xWays Hoarder xSplit.

In terms of the gameplay, having a read through the bonus features will surely leave you confused. What I do like is that you don’t get a certain number of free spins from the features. You play until you run out of hearts. Keep an eye out for the 3 Jumping Wilds which enable Collectors when colliding with cars. Armoured hearts keep the features going for longer too.

The Jumping Wilds add a general multiplier which can reach 5x, split wilds which will lead to more ways to win and trappers which block cars from crossing the road and removing/damaging hearts.

I particularly like the Junkyard Assault feature where all 3 Jumping Wilds are upgraded and the 2 cars try to cross the road on every spin. If you’re lucky enough to play the Roadblock feature, Jumping Wilds transform a row each. This can lead to wilds, split rows and a 2x multiplier on the 3×3 Wild. If you stop both cars, you’ll benefit from a 3×3 Wild on the 3 middle reels.

With 11,091 x bet max wins, it’s much lower than the 36,000 x bet found in Road Rage (Roadkill’s predecessor). That said, the max win probability is 1 in 25 million spins compared to 1 in 80 million. You can achieve the max win more easily in the bonus features though. It will hit every 200,000 spins in Team Assemble and every 6,300 spins in Junkyard Assault.

If there’s ever a slot game you need to play in demo mode before playing for real, this is it. A few hundred spins will soon start to make sense. In summary, Roadkill is another entertaining slot from Nolimit City that offers unique gameplay and a quirky approach thematically. It may not offer the max win potential of other NLC titles but that’s a minor gripe in my opinion.

Roadkill is a witty, massively enjoyable production where visuals competently support the mechanics and vice versa. The clash between animals and humans on the road has never been so spectacular and amusing.

Space Donkey is a wildly creative 8-bit bonanza that should send old-school gamers scrambling for their consoles.

If you just read through the explanation of the various bonus games, we’re impressed. It’s a lot to take in, and we don’t blame you if you’d rather just explore the game on your own. 

Understanding every little mechanic of the game would take some serious research, but you really don’t need it. As you partake in the different features, you’ll start understanding what the main objective is, and it’s not as hard to follow as it might look at first. 

During our session on this game, our confusion on why this theme is not used more has only strengthened. We love graphically strong games (such as Money Train 4), but there’s definitely a place for games like this as well. A game with retro visuals is also not automatically a game with bad graphics. Space Donkey genuinely looks really good, and its bright colors are very eye-pleasing. NoLimit has done wonders when it comes to the animations and how the grid and landscape move, coming close to thematic perfection.

If we were to mention one thing, except the scenery, that we love about this game, that would be the fact that it has two different bonus games. Many games nowadays have a “super bonus”, but it’s usually just a boosted version of the regular bonus. Here, it’s a completely different feature with other mechanics, which is a nice change of pace. 

Space Donkey by NoLimit City takes you on a retro adventure with two different bonus games and a whole lot of firepower.

Space Donkey packs an unbelievable amount of exciting mechanics into the game, offering multi-layer gameplay in a quirky 8-bit setting boasting a unique backstory.

For those who love retro video games, you may well fall in love with the Space Donkey slot. It resembles the Capcom classic video game 1942, which has a birdseye view of the action. The background is very similar too.

It brings back memories of Thunderkick’s Flame Busters and Relax Gaming’s Hellcatraz, which is still a very popular slot to this day. The result might not be the GOAT, but The Cage provides a one-off gambling experience like no other out there.

It was a very captivating gaming experience in this slot, where a thrilling journey in the quest to become the GOAT awaits. Like other creations from this game provider, it is again packed with features that continuously activate different elements and effects. The structure of the reels is reminiscent of Dead Canary xBomb, where symbols fall down elegantly when wins are created. The base game certainly has its charm, but it is clearly the bonus game you constantly strive to activate. This occurs on average 1 in 205 spins which is a decent level. The potential max win is very high and shows the huge potential of the different features.
